The cold never bothered us anyway!

Director of Performing Arts, Miss Baynham-Williams, wants to share how exceptionally proud the faculty are of the cast of this year’s whole-academy production of ‘Frozen’. Over 180 students (both on stage and off stage) have devoted their last few weekends to coming in to refine key moments of the show and their relentless dedication and commitment continues to astound us all. We look forward to the design students from the ‘Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama’ joining us later this week to build our magical ice kingdom and palace set as we transform All Saints’ into Arendelle. We are excited to welcome our supporting live band to rehearsals this weekend and want to give huge praise to the endless amount of backstage, crew and production students that have all pulled together to step in to make this production one of our most memorable of all time. Our academy values and sense of community always shine through our production process but this year more than ever, we are noticing that we are standing in an army and continue to be humbled by the amount of support and engagement that we’ve received. This year, our academy students have embraced the challenge of learning puppetry and continue to raise their aspiration with the vocal coach programme that we have implemented for our older cast. We are most impressed with the ambitious and brave Year 7 and 8 students that have thrown themselves into joining our Performing Arts family and who continue to push their God-given potential by embracing every opportunity. We continue to work hard behind the scenes and really hope that we make all of Cheltenham, and all of the South West proud as we take to the stage as Music Theatre International and Disney’s winning West Regional Premiere School!

Chaplaincy

As we continue throughout this season of Lent, we are grateful for the opportunity of reflection and renewal that has been present during our Prayer Week. This precious time has offered us a chance to deepen our connection with God, seek His guidance, and strengthen our faith as a community.
Throughout this week, all KS3 students have had the opportunity to gather in the chapel to engage in prayer-focused activities; all hinged on the Lord’s Prayer. Students have taken time to personally reflect on themselves, their communities and our world.
As we move forward towards Holy Week, let us continue to embrace this term’s value of reconciliation and may we open our hearts to God’s presence and prepare ourselves for the joy of Easter.
