At All Saints’ Academy, we promote positive mental health, wellbeing and safeguarding for our whole Academy community (students, staff, parents, carers). We recognise how important mental health and emotional well-being is to our lives in the same way as physical health and we believe that students’ mental health is a crucial factor in their overall wellbeing, affecting their learning and achievement.
We have a well-qualified dedicated pastoral team to support our families and students through secondary education at All Saints’ Academy.
We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all students. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice. We consider at all times what is in the best interest of the child.
The Academy procedures apply to all staff and Trustees and are consistent with those of the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership (GSCP).
The Academy has a statutory duty to work with other agencies (including Police and Social Care) when there are concerns about a child’s safety or welfare. We will always try to discuss our concerns with parents/carers first unless by doing so we place a child or adult at greater risk of harm.
