Year 6 Welcome Letter March 2025

- Miss Baynham-Williams and Mrs Herrick visit primary schools to meet Year 6 pupils who are joining us in September.
- Parents/Carers will receive some more Transition information from us via email/post.
- Our #ASAPenPal Scheme letters are delivered.
Every Year 6 student will be paired with a pen pal from All Saints’ Academy! Your child will receive a heartfelt letter from one of our amazing Year 7 students, sharing their experiences and adventures in secondary school so far.
July
- Year 6 Transition Induction Days: Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th July 2025.
Your child will be invited to spend two days at All Saints’ Academy. They’ll meet peers in their year group and participate in lessons across all departments. It’s a great chance to experience academy life in all its fullness first-hand!
A hot school dinner will be provided for every student free of charge. If you would prefer for your child to have a packed lunch, please provide one for them.
Students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and a snack for break-time. Students should make their own way to and from school and wear their primary school uniform.
Your child will need to be at the Academy for 8.30am where they will be welcomed at the main entrance by staff and can be collected from outside the Cotswold Hall at 3.10pm. We are asking that students wear their primary school uniform but bring trainers with them in a bag to enable them to take part in the exciting sports activities.
- Parents Information Evening – Thursday 3rd July
Parents are invited into the Academy to meet the Principal, Year 7 and Transition team to tell you all you need to know about your child beginning their secondary school journey.
- Parent Coffee Morning
Come and join us at All Saints’ Academy for a chat with our Transition Team! We can’t wait to hear from you and answer any questions you might have. Invites will be given out on Parents Information Evening.
August
- Year 6 Summer School – Monday 18th August – Friday 22nd August.
We’re thrilled to extend an invitation to your child to join us for an exhilarating week of summer school! They’ll have the opportunity to connect with peers from various schools, participate in enriching team-building activities, and dive into engaging lessons guided by our brilliant teachers. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to make new friends and have a memorable experience before the school year begins. A free lunch will be provided.

- Year 7 First Day – Wednesday 3rd September
The Academy will be open to Year 7 students only to provide our new starters with the opportunity to get used to life in the Academy before the rest of the Academy joins.
