All Saints’ Academy Choir Brings Music to Local Care Homes

Posted: 19th December 2024

Students from All Saints’ Academy shared the magic of Christmas this week with residents at Wentworth Court and Bredon View Retirement Homes. The Academy’s talented choir performed traditional carols and modern Christmas songs, spreading joy and holiday spirit throughout the community.

The visits were a highlight of the week for residents, many of whom joined in singing or simply enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere created by the students’ performances. The event was an opportunity for the choir to connect with the community, bringing smiles and festive warmth to those who may not always have the chance to experience live music during the Christmas season.

“It was incredibly moving to see the joy on the residents’ faces as our students performed,” said Matt Round, All Saints’ Academy Chaplain. “Sharing music is such a powerful way to bring people together, especially during the Christmas season. Our students really embraced the chance to give back to the community.”

The choir’s efforts are part of All Saints’ Academy’s commitment to building strong community ties and instilling values of love and service in its students. Residents and staff at both care homes expressed their thanks for the performances, noting how the music brought a festive spirit and a sense of togetherness to their communities.
