‘For the first time in forever’ All Saints’ prepares to welcome Disney’s Frozen straight from the West End to the school stage.
We are delighted to announce that, following an overwhelming number of applications, we have been selected as the West Regional Premiere School to perform in ‘The United Kingdom of Frozen’!
Last year, our Performing Arts faculty submitted an application to a huge nationwide contest, hosted by Disney and Music Theatre International. We discovered that we had been selected as one of the lucky winners at the start of term, making this academic year more exciting than ever before.
Competition winners were chosen based on their ambitious yet inclusive sense of community within the Performing Arts. We at All Saints’ Academy genuinely believe that there is a place for absolutely every student on stage (be it performing or as part of the magical backstage crew) and we model the values and belief that ‘love is an open door’ throughout our creative learning. We are thrilled that the merit and reputation of our previous whole-academy productions contributed to this huge opportunity. We feel honoured to have been recognised for our high engagement in the Performing Arts and the wider impact that this has in school and on our wider community.
Principal, Mr Benjamin Williams said “We are delighted to be selected to be a part of Frozen’s UK wide launch. Performing Arts is central to the life of All Saints’ Academy and our selection here is reward for an incredibly high standard through a number of productions. We are all very excited – book your tickets early to avoid disappointment!”
Director of Performing Arts, Miss Harriet Baynham-Williams, shares “I am over the moon that our wonderful academy students have been selected as the West Regional Premiere School performers of ‘Frozen’. Getting selected to represent the West is an honour. Last year, we had over 180 students in our cast and crew for ‘The Little Mermaid’ and I can already tell that this year is going to be even bigger. We are so proud of our Head of Drama, Mr Connor, for sending in our application on behalf of the team and I am ecstatic to be part of such a wonderful collection of special colleagues that will work together on this show. It is clear that our legacy of aspirational productions radiates throughout and I would like to thank the endless support of our wonderful community of Cheltenham too. We look forward to bringing even more magic to the All Saints’ Academy stage. We hope that you will all join us for what promises to be our most epic show yet!!”.
All Saints’ Academy’s production of Frozen the Musical will be staged in April 2025! Tickets will go on sale from November.
